Simple Pleasures Haiku

Gardens at first light:
full of busy workers, but
even snails take breaks.

(Thanks to the women of One Deep Breath for their continuing inspiration,
and to my son, who insisted that I take a picture of the resting snail.)

I particularly like that second photo - the shell looks so beautifully textured.

My granddaughter, Maya, loves snails. Picks them up and puts them on her arm and watches them move. Lovingly puts them back down.

Yeah, I wish we stop and take breaks once in a while and enjoy the surroundings.

We would all do well to remember the snails, and take very long breaks more often!
Lovely haiku and photos!

The photos - especially the second one - are lovely. And I don“t like snails but I like your haiku and the sentiment.
