Yugen Haiku

(Thanks to Fabrik Studios for the image.)

Coaxing my mind’s eye,
My father’s words while sailing:
Watch for the wind now.

(Thanks, too, to the women of One Deep Breath
for their continuing inspiration. And a special
birthday cyberhug for my amazing dad!)

This feels so safe, not a comment I expected to make about being at sea.

Wonderful photo and haiku to match! I love sailing and your haiku captures the joy of being on the open sea.

Shelley, the photo is full of mystery and adventure, and the accompanying haiku is a perfect marriage of the two, very peaceful as well. Kudos to you for this one!

this one sure brought a lump to my throat...my own dad doesn't sail but all of the sentiment that goes with this lovely haiku sure made me relate (and smile)...thanks!
