Shelley, obviously none of us can get past the image of all those cute little turtles, roiling around in the mud. Ewwww- now that I picture it, it's not really cute after all, but more messy and elemental!
Shelley, I will not mention turtles at all. Even Casco Bay, off the shore of Portland, Maine, looks like this after a heavy rain. The dirt comes from inland rivers flowing into the ocean. So it is a collision of fresh and salt water!
Shelly, Spring certainly stirs the pot so to speak. I see it as a stretching after the dormancy of winter...everything rushing together saying here, here, look at me. The turtles recognize opportunity earlier than some of us. ;-) rel

Is that a little baby turtle? How cute! It's amazing what can live in mud!
I love turtles. This is a great vision. Native Americans believe the Earth is balanced on the back of a turtle.
Charming haiku! I love turtles ;)
This is really sweet.
Uh oh, I wasn't trying to evoke cuteness, or even sweetness... pesky turtles have hijacked my intended tone!
I was more going for muck and mud and the messiness of elemental and seasonal collisions...
Hmmm...

Both photo and ku are really enjoyable. Something so embracing about this post-storm scene you paint.
Very messy and elemental, but the turtles are cute...
