Spring Haiku

Windows down at last!
At the road's low point I hear
peepers in chorus.

(Thanks to the women of One Deep Breath
for their continuing inspiration.
And if you need helping hearing this haiku,
you can hear some peeper calls over here.
Special thanks to the Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute
for this great image of a peeper demanding to be written about.)

How cool to actually hear the peepers while reading. I love the sound of them. Lovely haiku.

peepers? Going by the picture they're frogs? (I'm in the UK, I don't know peepers!). Nice haiku anyway.

doesn't sound as throaty as the frogs round here

We just have noisy toads here! But we do have sticky toe'd frogs but I never hear them make any sounds!
A very cute pic and lovely haiku, Shelley!

Shelly,
Ah finally a chance to roll down the window and inhale fresh spring. Thank-you!
And for the comical pic. ;-)

This is such a fun haiku--we're enjoying having fresh air also.

I sure couldn't stand that sound for long!

You certainly set the time frame with the windows down line. I realized I haven't heard frogs since I moved out here. The throatier sounding ones did their best to keep us awake in Florida. I couldn't get it to play, but my computer is acting up. I bookmarked it to try later, thank you.

I wondered if there would be a peeper poem. Ours are still tucked in. NIce!

One of my favorite sounds, peepers. Nice work!

Thanks for visiting my blog and telling me more about the peepers! I'll listen to them when I get the chance, though it won't be the same as hearing them in person....
