Big Bambu

If you live within driving distance of Beacon, NY (you can download directions by clicking here), we can strongly recommend that you pay a visit to the Starn brothers' Big Bambu exhibit. (The studio will be open every 2nd and 4th Saturday of June, July and August, between 11AM and 4PM; more info is available here.)

We went last month, and in a last minute burst of inspiration,
brought our own piece of NJ bamboo
to contribute to the project.

Admission is free, and the experience
is nothing short of mind-boggling.

Just to give you a sense of scale;
that's an adult male, in the bottom left...
with a few more, up top.
