Powdered Sugar

(Image via bluewaikiki on Flickr)

shopping too late:

in the baking aisle a gap –

no powdered sugar

(Thanks to the good folks
at Haiku Bones for the prompt.)

Big smile here! Oh what was to be made with the powdered sugar?

I love that gaping hole. Just saw that this morning while yearning for cream for my coffee. Store shelf was BARE. Dang.

This is so funny and so true! The gaping hole where the item you most want used to be...

Wistful! And, the cupboards are bare.

Cute but achingly true. Because when you need powdered sugar (or vanilla, or cream) you jones for it.

Good. Powdered sugar is my nemesis. Against all judgment, I will always fall for pastries dusted with the stuff, invariably while wearing a dark suit. I do like your haiku so much. Nice to meet you on "Bones" :)

I see you found it. Those would sure taste good with my mid morning coffee!

My friend always puts real vanilla in both her daughter's stockings. This year, everyone else must be doing it too, She is finding gaps.

A fun holiday haiku.
