Rain Haiku

So tired today
couldn't resist last night's show
(clouds across the moon)

Last night's rain –

not enough for puddles,
but such loud birdsong!

(Thank you to my partner T, who made the connection
between rain and birdsong.)

PS: New post over at Yogabeans!

I love birds singing in the rain (and we're getting a lot of rain at the minute!) and clouds across the moon!

I think rainstorms can be mesmerizing! A beautiful hiaku even though you are tired!

Loved it Shelley!

"clouds across the moon"

I've written an unpublished free verse that is a imagery meditation on clouds across the moon.

That is haunting to behold...

This is making me miss living in Seattle (so little rain where I live now). And I love "not enough for puddles"!

Normally we don't have much rain here. This year it has been exceptrional. I liked the imagery in your haiku..
