Moon Haiku

The moon and I,
silent on the boardwalk —

letting the waves speak.

(Thanks to the women of One Deep Breath
for their continuing inspiration.
Bet you weren't expecting a boardwalk poem
on January 7th! But it was t-shirt weather here today,
and last year, too, at this time
we were experiencing a weird heatwave.
Mr. D and I are worried about the Earth.)

Oh, I can see the moon and hear the waves...very lovely haiga.

I worry about the Earth too but hopefully she will shake off all those destroying her.

Your words drew me into the scene and onto the boardwalk.

We're having strange weather as well. I,too, am worried about the planet. I could hear your closing line.

I also love to walk beside the ocean when it's too cold to swim. That's when the boardwalk is silent...

Beautiful.

I would so love to sit there and watch the moon, from afar. I worry about the earth, too. :(
