everywhere I turn,
a blur of birds
flying away

old friend's phone machine
with the voice of her husband,
now gone

Both of these are so well done. The first is the feeling of fall, watching all the birds heading off to leave us to face the cold winter alone, but the second... oh, my.
The two haiku and the photo expressive of being left behind and the growing lonelieness. The birds flying away and the voice left of one who has gone on - each reflective othe other. Well done.

beautiful...yr 2nd ku is very close to home...let's just say after two years, she has yet to change the msg...his voice is still on the recording..
good job...pulled on some heart strings...takes a while to say goodbye. recordings...audio or video...mean we choose when. a mixed blessing, perhaps?
