Belonging Haiga

autumn slides in,
defiantly belonging –
brown wedge in the green

(Thanks to the women of One Deep Breath
for their continuing inspiration.
And here I am, blogging about autumn
on the eve of the Winter Haiku 2007 blog's inagural posts!)

Wow - well spotted. Its almost like the green segments are welcoming the brown, and waiting their turn to change. A good interpretation of the prompt.

I love how autumn is defiant. Endings can be like that. Thank you!

Friends, thank you for you kind comments. This picture was taken weeks ago, but was apparently waiting the One Deep Breath prompt.

spacedlaw, I like your suggestion... brazen is a great word!

Jem, I'm looking forward to your contributions to the winter haiku blog.

qualcosa di bello, you've got me thinking...

and glad, you're very welcome!

Very clever!! It's like a slice of chocolate cream pie sliding into a green salad -- the perfect meal! I love your haiku and photo -- perfect!

Great ku for the prompt. "Brown wedge" is a great catch.
